About us
Cepheid Variable was founded in 1967 by Annette Bristol. It is the second oldest club on campus created by nerds for nerds.
As a nonprofit organization at Texas A&M, we not only try to create a welcoming enviroment, but we also like to give back as well! We do a ton of volunteer work such as working concessions and helping our community out.
The money we earn throught concessions and membership goes back to our members. We want to make the exprence of our members worth while. There are several conventions in Texas that we attend and pay the hotel room for, renting an entire theatre, annual cabin trips, hang out at local spots, and so much more
Cepheid is also the leaders of Aggiecon, which has been running for over 50 years! We take pride in hosting the largest student run convention in North America! to find out more about aggie con vist the aggie con website!
We have weekly meetings every Tusday at 7:07 located either in rudder tower or the MSC. We hope to see you there!

FAQ
When are meetings?
Meetings are every Tuesday at 7:07pm at either Rudder tower or the MSC. Follow our discord to see annoucments on meeting locations and topics.
What is concessions?
Concessions is how we fund all of our events. If you want to help us to keep running events, the best way to do it is by attending concessions. There are 7 concession games in total. Membership can be earned by going to 3 concessions games. AggieCon tickets can be earned with 5 concessions games
What is a d name?
D-names are this club's nicknames. You get one by doing something stupid, awesome, or stupidly awesome. It takes 3 officers or an elder to assign a D-name. And whatever you do DO NOT ASK FOR ONE D-Names were orgginally inspired from the movie Animal House. The D in D names stands for Delta, due to the Delta house from the movie
What is D raid?
D-raids, named similarly to d-names, are an after club event. After the weekly meetings, Cepheids head somewhere else to get food, hang out, and play games. Often we meet up at sibisa underground or the MSC basment
What is a elder and elder god?
An elder is a Cepheid who has already graduated from TAMU but is still an active member (either in the discord or in real life). An elder god is thus an elder who has graduated from TAMU and whos child has become a member of Cepheid
What is a minion?
Minions work as assistants to the officers and learn how to do their jobs for future years. You can find all applications in the discord
What is Cepheid Olmpics?
Cepheid Olympics is a series of competitions that happen once a month. The winning team gets a prize at the end of the academic year. The events range from anything from physical to mental challenges. build friendship have fun and join your fellow cepheids as you complete!
